Security forces in Mizoram's Champhai district have seized smuggled areca nuts and poppy seeds worth approximately Rs 18 crore. The operation, conducted by a joint team including Assam Rifles and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, led to the recovery of over 1.25 lakh kg of areca nuts and 25,440 kg of poppy seeds. The seized consignments have been handed over for further investigation.
